Researchers have found that donkey milk contains less fat and more nutritious than cow milk. From donkey milk also help protect the heart because they contain omega-3 fatty acids that help reduce cholesterol, as quoted by FoxNews.
Therefore, researchers at the University of Naples, Italy, tested the effects of donkey's milk and cow's milk in rats.
They found that animals fed on donkeys have low triglycerides, a type of fat found in blood, and less stress on the metabolism system.
The high levels of triglycerides can cause hardening or narrowing of the arteries which in turn puts you at risk of heart attack or stroke.
The researchers also concluded that donkey milk high in calcium, are very similar to human milk, so it can be used in children who are allergic to dairy products.
